My Personal Review
I’ve had the chance to really review over in the 6 months and I think I’ve gotten enough data to finally talk about it. I have to say I am absolutely in love with this thing.
I’ve been watching a lot of videos about why it is that school makes us hate reading so much and it’s because reading them becomes a task and something that is to be rewarded with a grade instead of something that is seen as fun and enjoyable and exciting and a better way of escapism is just scrolling through your Instagram feed. Which it turn wastes your time and your eagerness to read.
Books VS Kindle
There’s this age-old argument with Kindles that I just can’t get over the smell of a book and like reading a book is so intimate and the actual feeling of trying the pages and all such stuffs. Its is true, I used to feel the same way. But ….
The thing is are you really reading these books or are you just romanticizing the act of reading and still not reading anything at all.
Get it now. 😉

WHY Kindle?
No power needed to hold an image
Amazon Kindle comes with E Ink’s technology. This technology is commonly referred to as “bistable”. Bistablility refers to the fact that an image on an E Ink screen will be retained even when all power sources are removed. This means that the display is consuming power only when something is changing. For example, when reading on an Kindle, power is only needed when turning to a new page but no power is consumed by the display while reading the page. This technology significantly reduces the power consumption and is a key reason why Kindle have such long battery life.
No backlight
Kindle have E Ink displays. These displays are referred to as “reflective displays”. In an LCD, or “emissive display”, light from a backlight is projected through the display towards your eyes. In an E Ink display, no backlight is used; rather, ambient light from the environment is reflected from the surface of the display back to your eyes. As with any reflective surface, the more ambient light, the brighter the display looks. This attribute mimics traditional ink and paper, and users of Kindle have said that they do not have the same eye fatigue as with LCDs when reading for long periods of time. Therefore, eliminating the need for a backlight significantly increases the battery life versus using a traditional LCD.
Rugged
E Ink displays are comprised of an ink layer laminated to a plastic film substrate. They are tougher than most LCD displays which keen to shatter easily.
It’s actually been very interesting to see the benefits I’ve had over the past week of picking up my Kindle instead of just scrolling on my phone for hours.
5 Reasons to Buy Kindle
I have five reasons that I think buying a Kindle is totally worth it and not a waste of money.
1. Improve your reading habit (You’ll actually start reading)
2. Extremely portable (You can take it anywhere)
3. Help you build vocabulary
4. Reading multiple book at once

How E-Ink reader(Kindle) works?
Electronic ink technology produces a low-power, paper-like display for e-reader, such as the Amazon Kindle.
With e-ink technology, tiny microcapsules are suspended in a liquid that is encased within a film layer. The microcapsules, which are roughly the width of a human hair, contain positively charged white particles and negatively charged black particles.
